1 small tin of pineapple rings
6 glace cherries
6 tablespoons of Golden Syrup
1 oz of butter (melted)
1 packet of sponge mix
Direction
Pre heat oven according to instructions on sponge mix pack
Method
1 Make up sponge mix according to manufacturers instructions
2 Brush the inside of the frying pan with butter
3 Drain the pineapple and line the base of the pan with the slices
4 Put a glace cherry in the centre of each ring and one in the centre
5 Pour the golden syrup all over the pineapple and cherries
6 Pour over made up sponge mix.
7 Bake in oven until golden brown
8 Attach handle to frying pan and then invert the pan over a large plate so the cake tips out and the syrup pours over the top.
9 Serve with hot custard
